JP Founders' Fourcher Tech Featured On Weather Channel
Jordan Fourcher's clean/deep tech startup was recently featured on the weather channel
JP founders are not only pollinating all of Tempe, Scottsdale, and Arcadia, but some are even pollinating the news. Major props to JP member Jordan of Fourcher Tech on this feature in the Weather Channel. Fourcher Tech has 2 products that are quite powerful:
CryoPad
CryoCase
Check out a bit about each below, in addition to the press piece:
CryoPad
The CryoPad is a wireless charger that actively cools your phone using a micro water-cooling system in conjunction with a thermoelectric plate (Peltier device). This unique combination allows for sustained and powerful cooling in even the most challenging environments. The system is so powerful that it is able to cool over 5x the surface area of its closest competitor thanks to a 40mm thermoelectric plate with arcTEC technology and a custom-made aluminum plate. There are many benefits to charging at lower temperatures, including:
Faster charging
Protected battery health
Performance improvements.
The CryoPad dynamically cools your phone to keep it at 60℉, which is the colder end of the ideal temperature range for a battery. This gives your phone the thermal buffer it needs to last longer and perform better. Anything below 60℉ reduces charging speed without corresponding benefits in battery longevity.Â
Say goodbye to an unresponsive, heat fatigued phone and say hello to CryoPad.
CryoCase
The CryoCase is a case that gets colder in the sun instead of hotter. Utilizing the blackbody effect, the CryoCase uses radiative cooling to dissipate heat into the vacuum of space. It does not require electricity, boiling, or freezing to work: it simply needs an open sky. The CryoCasecan cool your phone down 15℉ below ambient temperature* (check the map to see the CryoCase effectiveness where you live. Orange is better).Â
How this technology works: The unique paint used in the CryoCase efficiently dissipates heat in the 8-13µm (infrared) range while also reflecting over 95% of incoming sunlight. IR-emitting particles exploit the atmospheric transparency window to dissipate heat into the sky. The end result is a case that keeps your phone cool even in direct sunlight. As long as the paint is facing a clear sky, it will cool your phone by up to 15℉.Â
Strong Traction
Both products sold out instantly on Jordan’s website once he made them available to the public. Fourcher Tech has raised > $30k to date, and is about to partner with a full scale manufacturer for product and funding to begin scaling, all the while acquiring the IP for the phone case. On top of that, Jordan is looking to take his tech and apply it at tremendously large scales; think buildings, cars, etc with no AC ever needed again. More on that in a different JB….
Final Word
Expect more of these short blurbs from Jb highlighting founders’ success and journey as they build world-class organizations. The firestorm of great founders popping up in and around Tempe is real. Now, back to building.
